Anita Bartels is the Program Manager for Employment Tax Compliance Policy, which is part of the Small Business Self Employed Division’s Specialty Tax Program. The policy staff has responsibility for service-wide employment tax policy, including development of national policies and procedures, and providing guidance. Bartels has a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton. She has been with the IRS for 25 years. Bartels began her career as revenue agent, has served as an instructor and subject matter expert for tax matters, and was a manager prior to joining the Policy staff. She has been involved with employment tax since 1991. |
