Maureen has worked in the human services field for 20 years, 15 years of those are with local United Ways. She has worked at United Way of Central New York in Syracuse, United Way of Greater Oswego County in Fulton, NY and has been President of United Way of Marion County in Ocala, FL since 2006.

Maureen began her work in the area of financial stability in 2003 while working in NY with the promotion of EITC and an existing AARP tax assistance program. United Way of Marion County began a Prosperity Campaign in 2007, which promotes 5 community resources. These resources include: EITC, VITA, Money Smart budgeting workshops, FamilyWize free discount prescription card and Bank On Marion. Maureen has been directly involved with the many activities of the Prosperity Campaign. The Marion County Prosperity Campaign recently launched the second Bank On program in Florida.

Maureen also serves on several Boards, including Florida Prosperity Partnership, Marion County Children’s Alliance, Public Policy Institute and Zonta Club of Ocala. She is also a member of Marion United Toastmasters in Ocala and a Girl Scout Troop Leader.

Maureen is a graduate of Syracuse University. She and her husband Jeff have one daughter, Emily who is 10 years old.
